Mary Vaxevanopoulou
Executive Office, Impact Development Manager

Mary is the Impact Development Manager of ReGeneration and is part of the team that is responsible for securing funds to effect greater impact through the program, enabling young people in Greece to develop their skills and start their professional career. Having worked more than 12 years in non-profit organisations such as the Scouts of Greece, the Road Safety Institute ‘Panos Mylonas’, Estia, and Elliniki Etairia, she brings to the team extensive professional experience in fundraising and management of funded projects. In 2012-2014 she worked as a Development Executive for WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) in Brussels, where she had the opportunity to travel around Europe, setting up partnerships between youth organisations, private companies, and institutions. Furthermore, she has collaborated with Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the General Secretariat for Youth, the Youth and Lifelong Learning Institute, the Ecumenical Federation of Constantinoupolitans and the European Youth Forum.

Mary has participated in workshops and seminars on Corporate Social Responsibility at the Athens University of Economics and Business, and on Negotiating, Leadership and Project Management at Vlerick Business School in Leuven, Belgium. She was on the Volunteering Committee of the Athens 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, has been a member of the Executive Committee of the National Youth Council and is still an active member of the Scouts of Greece. She is passionate about the work that non-profit organisations can deliver and the impact of volunteers. Finally, she strongly feels that every single person - with intrinsic motivation - can help contribute to ‘creating a better world’.
