Applications for the 2nd ReGeneration Academy for Food Innovation of the organization “New Agriculture New Generation” have been opened.
The program is supported through the founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN)
and the sponsorship of Elbisco.
“New Agriculture New Generation” organizes for the second consecutive year in collaboration with ReGeneration (the largest training and employment program for young graduates in Greece), an innovative “academy” that provides young scientists up to 29 years old with the necessary support and network to secure a role in the food industry. The program is supported through the founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN). The main sponsor of the academy this year is Elbisco.
The food and beverage industry in our country presents a growing demand for executives with specialized knowledge and skills. The aim of ReGeneration Academy for Food Innovation-Powered by New Agriculture New Generation & Elbisco is to train young scientists and provide them with work experience and networking opportunities with industry experts.
The program is executed online in 45 hours over eight weeks and is designed so that – after completing an intensive evaluation process – participants receive all the necessary knowledge to be able to secure professional roles in the food industry.

The ReGeneration Academy for Food Innovation-Powered by New Agriculture New Generation & Elbisco invites young people up to 29 years old, graduates of higher education schools (geotechnical schools, chemistry, chemical engineering and other graduates related to the food industry), with 0 to 3 years of work experience and active participation in extracurricular activities, to apply and expand their opportunities in Greece.
The program has been designed in collaboration with renowned food industry experts and specialized scientists from Greek universities and Rutgers University in the USA. During the program, participants will delve into topics such as global food system and trends, quality and food safety management, new product development, supply chain management, and national and European food and marketing legislation, while receiving an additional 32 hours of training in soft skills.

About New Agriculture New Generation
The organization “New Agriculture New Generation” aims to create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in the agri-food sector in Greece. It was founded on the initiative and donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN) in the framework of the Restart and Youth Enhancement program.
The initiative began in 2018, led by Rutgers University (New Jersey State University), in collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens and the American School of Agriculture. In October 2020, the initiative developed into a non-profit company based in Greece, expanding its activities and network of partners, while maintaining close cooperation with Rutgers University as a strategic and technical consultant.

ReGeneration
With a vision to democratize post-university education and career opportunities for young graduates in our country, ReGeneration is the largest employment and training program in Greece. An initiative of the Global Shapers Athens Hub and World Economic Forum, ReGeneration was created with the goal of contributing to youth employment, bridging the skills gap, and combating “brain drain.” The program addresses talented young graduates (up to 29 years old) in a range of specialties with 0 – 3 years of work experience, who strive to stand out as young professionals in Greece. ReGeneration offers participants 6 months (minimum) paid employment at multinational companies and SMEs in Greece, and 32 hours of training with a focus on personal and professional development, as well as mentoring opportunities with renowned market executives. In addition, ReGeneration Academy has offered some 150,000 hours of new skills training in the latest technologies and industries facing a lack of professional talent (ie. Digital Marketing, Data Science, AI, Coding, Supply Chain, Hospitality, AgriFood, Customer Experience). As part of the program, participants also complete 25 volunteer hours supporting select NGOs. To date, ReGeneration has placed over 1,850 young graduates in roles at some 700 participating companies, and has, through its various programs, offered 440,000 hours of training in soft and digital skills.
