Athens, February 15, 2023 – The DiGiYouth Initiative, a Microsoft partnership with ReGeneration, offers unique training and employment opportunities for young and new graduates to reduce youth unemployment. The program focuses on learning and developing the most sought-after digital skills (up/reskilling) by helping its participants in their professional steps while placing them later in optimal positions in the labor market.
Young men and women from all over the country are given the opportunity to apply and participate in the training programs – the Academies that have already been completed include, among others, candidates from Drama, Crete, Rhodes, Serres, Patras and Thessaloniki. This is an Initiative addressed to every corner of the mainland and island in Greece.
Furthermore, DiGiYouth Αcademies such as the ReGeneration Academy 4Women in Tech and the ReGeneration Academy on Cloud Tools & Technology have seen a 100% hiring rate within a few months from the participants’ graduation, with the majority of beneficiaries being absorbed into organic jobs by small and large companies throughout Greece.
In 2020 as part of Microsoft’s GR for Growth Ιnitiative and the company’s broader commitment to educating 100,000 people, including students, graduates, unemployed and public and private sector professionals, the DiGiYouth Initiative is now in its third year and has expanded with three new intensive training programs through innovative academies with a focus on digital transformation.
More specifically, the new cycle of the DiGiYouth Initiative includes the following academies:
- ReGeneration Academy on Technical Business Analysis 4 Women, an intensive program aimed at strengthening the female presence in the field of Technology,
- ReGeneration Academy on CyberSecurity & DevOps Engineering, an innovative academy specializing in network security
- ReGeneration Academy on Cloud Tools & Technology vol.4, offering access to unique Microsoft digital tools
The current DiGiYouth Initiative 4.0, is also implemented with the support of the strategic donor “Ioannis S. Latsis Foundation”.
