A themed pavilion and specially designed room will host presentations and workshops on innovation, technology and developments in the labor market
ReGeneration – the largest employment and training program in Greece – will for the first time participate in the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), as it celebrates five years of operation and service to Greek youth and society.
In this context, the ReGeneration team will be present at TIF’s Digital Greece Pavilion, an initiative by Industry Disruptors – Game Changers supported by the Ministry of Digital Governance and TIF – HELEXPO. From September 9th to the 13th, the “Education to Employment Pathways” ReGeneration Corner, will host multidisciplinary talks and workshops for a wide range of audiences, from young people interested in learning about labor market developments, to startuppers and executives. Some 20 speakers from various companies will share their experience and personal success stories, aiming to give the audience a fresh approach to topics covered.
The workshops and talks taking place daily from 17.00 to 22.00 will cover topics such as preparing a competitive resume, effective marketing, networking, personal branding, digital transformation, and new labor market trends in the data age, while both panels and one workshop planned will cover cutting-edge topics such as technological developments, and the new era of HR based on digital transformation and design thinking.
The multidisciplinary combination of speakers at “Education to Employment Pathways” ReGeneration Corner represent some of the largest companies in the market such as OTE, Stoiximan, Deloitte, Agile Actors, Microsoft, Piraeus Bank and Code.Hub, offering participants a total of 25 hours of networking and knowledge.
ReGeneration has in the last five years managed to place more than 1,000 talented young graduates in the workforce at 400 companies nationwide. Of these recruitments, 600 took place between January 2018 and today, which demonstrates the significant developments our program has made thus far – a growth rate of 230%.
The percentage of renewed collaborations between ReGeneration program participants and partnering companies beyond the 6-month minimum required by the program is 90%, leading to the creation and maintenance of jobs, thus increasing employability in the country while significantly reducing underemployment. Meanwhile, some 120,000 hours of training in soft and hard skills, and 15,000 volunteer hours have been completed by participants to date.
